Our philosophy

Nineteen years of goldens has taught us that the dog in front of you matters more than the pedigree on paper. We keep two to three litters a year and we keep the shy ones longest, because they tell us the most about what we are producing. Several of our puppies have gone on to therapy and assistance work. That is not an accident: we select for a dog that recovers from a startle, takes food gently, and chooses to come back to a person rather than away from one. We send every family home with our rearing plan, our feeding notes, and our phone number. We mean it when we say call us at any point in the dog's life.
