Our philosophy

We breed one litter a year, sometimes two, and only when we want a puppy for ourselves. That single rule decides everything else: the dams are dogs we compete with, the sires are dogs we have watched work, and neither is chosen because a colour is fashionable. Temperament is the first thing we select for. A Labrador that cannot settle in a house is not a Labrador we want to produce, no matter how it looks in a stack. Our puppies are raised in the kitchen, hear the school run, and meet a dozen different people before they leave us. Every puppy goes home with a folder: hip and elbow clearances on both parents, Embark panels, vaccination records, and a written guarantee we have honoured without argument for fourteen years.
